World B. Free, born as Lloyd Bernard Free on December 9, 1953, is a retired professional basketball player who played in the NBA for several teams from 1975 to 1988. Free was known for his scoring ability and his flashy style of play, earning the nickname "World B. Free" to highlight his unique playing style. He was chosen as an NBA All-Star in 1980 and was a member of the All-NBA Second Team in 1980 and 1981. Free played for teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, and Cleveland Cavaliers during his career.
